The first half of 2022 is coming to an end. Many courses covering various topics including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Fundamentals of Programming and the Web, and the new topic area of Quantum Computing are already scheduled.
We will start with a long-planned course on paradigms for algorithms in Edge AI and the new edition of the popular course Crime Scene Internet (in German). We will end with a the year comprehensive packet on the new quantum technologies with sequels on Introduction and Cryptography, two English language courses on Qiskit and Quantum Machine Learning from IBM, and the first part of a course on Quantum Algorithms and their Implementation (in German).
You can also look forward to the exams on Cybersecurity Basics and Web Technologies in September and October 2022.

During the pandemic, online courses became firmly integrated and established in learning-teaching processes. We want to continue this momentum with you. In this openHPI Anniversary Forum, we would therefore like to first take a cursory look back and then invite you to join us and exciting guest speakers to look beyond openHPI and interactively explore how MOOCs can further unfold their potential for individuals, companies and institutions today and tomorrow.

Edge AI combines edge computing with AI technology and has grown rapidly in recent years. Edge AI's ability to run AI on client side offers potential for challenges such as latency, efficiency, and data sovereignty. In this course, you will learn how Deep Model Compression works and which optimization techniques and algorithms traditional Deep learning need to be adapted for Edge AI scenarios. As diverse as the possibilities that the Internet offers its users, so are the points of attack and potential dangers that emanate from the Internet, and that many people are not yet fully aware. In the continuation of the first course on quantum computing on openHPI, you will learn how the algorithm for teleportation works, and how classical logic gates can be simulated on quantum circuits. This time, the focus is on the physical phenomenon of entanglement, which can be used to process information in a completely new way.
