Douglas Hofstaedter: Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid - For every computer scientist a rather interesting and entertaining book about mathematical logics, formal languages, and philosophy, where also the genera problems of languages (e.g. designated and designatum) are discussed, maybe you can find it in your local public library
