Offered by Dr. Harald Sack

Week 5

"Knowledge Representation II"

Dear course participants,

welcome to the fifth week of our openHPI online course "Semantic Web Technologies".

This week will give answers to the questions How to describe the world? How to represent knowledge in the Semantic Web? What, when it gets more complicated? The module will give an introduction on descriptions logics, the Web Ontology Language OWL, and rules.

For every module self tests are provided. In this way you can check the advancement of your achieved knowledge. There is no time or submitting limit for these tests and you receive direct feedback on your answers.

At the end of the week a homework will be provided (due date: March 11 at 10:00 pm CET). The time for this homework is limited to 60 minutes and you can only submit your answers for this homework once (closing the browser window does not stop the timer to count down). The count down is started as soon as you clicked the start button. Therefore you should assure to have time and be prepared to take the test. The achieved score in the homework contribute to the total score for this course.

In case you have questions regarding the content, please use the community forum. Often these questions can be answered by your fellow students. The course tutors will also read the questions in the forum and help, if needed.

Have fun and good luck in the fifth course week!
