Welcome to the final course week of Mainframe - Crucial Role in Modern Enterprise Computing. This week we will take a look at new technologies available on mainframes, especially Big Data and Spark. We talk about web services and the difference between SOAP and REST. And last not least we present a very impressive success story from Walmart (USA) and the successful implementation of web services on IBM Z.

Monday, January 7, 2019, 20.00 UTC: deadline ends for final exam
Tuesday, January 8, 10.00 UTC: results of final exam are published
We will issue the certificates in the week of January 14, 2019 at the latest.
