- 00:00Welcome to the course "How to "Do I program my first mini-computer?"
- 00:04I'm Lisa and I'm in 2nd grade. Master semester at the Hasso Plattner Institute.
- 00:09And I am Amadeus and study at HPI in my 6th Master's semester.
- 00:14In more and more devices Computer: From A like car to
- 00:19Z for toothbrush. But that means not that there's an entire
- 00:23PC is installed. Usually a small chip the brain that controls the
- 00:27functions of the device, a so-called microcontroller.
- 00:30One of the best-known representatives is the "Arduino", but there are many more.
- 00:35In this course you will get to know the "ESP32". This is a particularly cheap and
- 00:39versatile microcontroller: For example
- 00:43he already installed Touch sensors and he
- 00:46can be connected via Bluetooth and WLAN with your
- 00:48mobile phone or even the the whole apartment.
- 00:50Without a program, such a Microcontroller however nothing at all.
- 00:54But don't worry, if you're about to see pictures from hacker movies in front of your eyes.
- 00:58We have this course for novice programmers and a module-based
- 01:04application, which you can use to learn how to program the ESP.
- 01:09This application is called "Ardublockly". With this you can easily
- 01:14Put the functions of your program together and the code comes all by itself.
- 01:18On the left side you can see the building blocks, that can be puzzled together.
- 01:23And the great thing about it microcontrollers is that you have to
- 01:27so that all sorts Sensors read out and things
- 01:30how to control motors and LEDs. Even this one will
- 01:34you will get to know in the course and work with it.
- 01:37We have several Projects prepared. Three of them
- 01:41are a "piano made of fruit", a "Thermometer" and a "car with
- 01:45Remote control". These projects and more you can do with us
- 01:49try it out together and get your first Gain experience with ESP.
- 01:52We're looking forward to seeing you!
