Angeboten von Karen von Schmieden, Mana Taheri, Lena Mayer

Module overview

Welcome to synthesis!

In this module, we will focus on synthesizing data.

The main objective of this module is to introduce you to different types of data and to show you how to work through the data to identify nuggets of inspiration.

We will talk about the technique of framing golden nuggets as a way to identify inspiring aspects of our data. We will teach you how to use these nuggets to formulate a new problem statement from the user perspective - a How Might We question.

This module includes two exercises and an assignment. The assignment for the course is open from this week onward. We recommend to start working on the assignment early on instead of pushing it towards the end of the course. The assignment is in archive mode now, but you can access the material here.

You will approximately need to commit 2,5h – 3,5 hours for this module.

In this module we have two expert talks: The first talk is by George Kembel, co-founder of the Stanford d.school on "Identifying Insights", and our second expert is Molly Wilson, UX designer and innovation consultant. She talks about "Making Meaning".
