- 00:01Welcome all of you to our online learning course, Beyond Brockhaus Thinking,
- 00:13with Design Thinking to a Networked Culture. It is actually
- 00:17an experiment which we are trying out first time now, after
- 00:2112 years of being physically involved in training Design Thinking,
- 00:26helping people to think, learn, and work in a different
- 00:29way. Now we have you sitting in front of the screen there, there
- 00:33is no physical reach out to you. However, we consider this as
- 00:37being a good way of sharing our experiences with a bigger
- 00:41audience and also creating a new way of interacting.
- 00:45With our students, more than thousands we already had throughout
- 00:49the last 12 years, we have been building these learning journeys,
- 00:53also with the companies and organizations with whom we did projects.
- 00:56But now for us, it's really time to start sharing with a bigger
- 01:00audience and also start sharing beyond just 'How to apply
- 01:06Design Thinking to a real life project?' And that indicates also
- 01:10what our learning courses are not about;
- 01:15it's not one of those traditional Design-Thinking learning
- 01:18exercises which you can find now in the market quite a bit. It's
- 01:22not too much on the 'How' it's more on the what
- 01:27are the three core elements. Because we figured out it's not
- 01:30just a process, it's not just a new method for the method suitcase, it's actually
- 01:35yes there's a process, but it's also very much about
- 01:39the team, 'the team of teams' as we call it and also it's also about
- 01:43the physical space and the virtual space.
- 01:46It's the triangle we want to focus in on and we
- 01:52also want to focus on the 'Why', Why is it so important
- 01:57in times we are living in right now, to use this kind of approach?
- 02:01And that's why it is also about the change Design-Thinking actually underwent
- 02:07by us shaping it and also by others helping us to shape it.
- 02:12Because it's no longer just an approach to come up with new
- 02:15ideas for products and/or services. But it also became a principle
- 02:20of guiding change within the organization in order to develop
- 02:24new business designs, new business models, but more importantly,
- 02:28also to design the strategic future. Who do you want to become
- 02:33as an organization in the area of digital transformation, Who
- 02:37do you want to attract towards this organization in the future? And
- 02:41this is the 'Why' part that we also want to dive into with you.
- 02:46This focus on the cultural aspects is also what is
- 02:50driving us to communicate with you. We want to learn from you as well because,
- 02:55I think there is a very interesting community setting in
- 02:59front of the screens right now; you have your experiences
- 03:03in your organizations, in your companies. And what we want to
- 03:06do is, we want to use all the available tools of Open HPI platform
- 03:12to get in touch with you, to learn from you, and get
- 03:16you in touch with other participants as well.
