Prof. Dr. Uwe Aßmann holds the Chair of Software Technology at the Dresden University of Technology. He received his PhD on compiler optimization and his habilitation on "Invasive Software Composition" (ISC), a composition technology for code fragments, which enables flexible reuse of software and combines generic, connector-, view-, and aspect-based programming for arbitrary programming or modeling languages.
The startup Wandelbots.de, spun off from his chair, offers an innovative method for demonstration-based training of robot employees, ten times faster than comparable methods. Aßmann's group participated in the research center "Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfAED)" and works on novel code composition techniques for many-core architectures and modern hardware structures. In the sub-project "Highly-Adaptive Energy-Efficient Computing (HAEC)", the group is developing Energy Autotuning (EAT), a technique for dynamically adapting the energy consumption of an application to the required quality of service, system context and hardware platforms. Both technologies, demonstration-based instruction and HAEC, rely on multi-tier autonomous systems.
Ingobert Veith is responsible for public policy in the management of Huawei Germany.
