Dr. Franziska Brantner was born on August 24, 1979 in Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg. She studied at Sciences Po Paris and completed her Master of International Affairs at Columbia University New York. Subsequently, Brantner received her PhD in International Relations from the University of Mannheim. She is a former member of the European Parliament as well as former parliamentary director and European policy spokesperson for the Bündnis 90/DIE GRÜNEN parliamentary group. Since 2021, Brantner has been State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate.
