Welcome to Week 5 !

After spending some time with general concurrency concepts and shared memory environments, we are now taking a look into the field of shared-nothing parallelism. This includes hardware platforms and several interesting programming paradigms, especially from the traditional field of parallel supercomputers.

This week contains of six units, instead of the usual five units, so you will need a little bit more time to go through the material.

We would like to point out again that the optional readings content will never be part of any examination. We offer you these links as further information source, in case one or the other topic is more relevant for you.
