Who am I as part of a We?
In our introductory video to team composition we have been highlighting the importance of personality as being one of the key (but quite often overlooked) dimensions to create diverse Design Thinking-teams.
There are several instruments that can be used to assess your individual team-personality. In the following we would like to provide you with some further resources:
- Myers-Briggs Team Indicator (MBTI): Further information about Myers-Briggs Team Indicator (MBTI) can be found here where you also have the opportunity to take the test itself for free.
- Belbin Team Inventory: I have created some information about Belbin’s Team Inventory here as an additional reading. Unfortunately, there is no way to take the test for free online.
- Creative Types (Adobe): However, there has been a test recently launched by Adobe about creative types. You can find further information about the types here and you can take the test here for free.
- Overview: Overall, a good overview (that we can recommend) about the different existing personality tests can be found here.
Exercise:
As an exercise we want to invite you to do a self-assessment of yourself by taking either the MBTI or the Creative Types survey on your own.
