Welcome to openHPI, the innovative learning platform of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) – one of Europe’s leading computer science institutes. We are not just another learning platform among many: as Europe’s first MOOC platform, we combine many years of experience in online teaching with the latest IT knowledge from research at the HPI – and we do so free of charge. In this way, we open the door to the world of computer science for you. Because we believe that excellent IT education should not be a luxury, but must be accessible to everyone. In doing so, we focus on diversity, creativity and genuine team spirit.

Our mission
