Welcome to the final exam of our online course Mainframe - Crucial Role in Modern Enterprise Computing. Until January 7, 2019 you will be able to take the final exam.

The exact timespan is from December 11, 2018, 8 am (UTC) to January 7, 2019, 8 pm (UTC).

We are glad that you made it until here and most of the work is already behind you. One final effort and we will hopefully be able to grant you a record of achievement!

There are no prerequisites (like a point restriction) to take the exam. You have 120 minutes to solve the 43 questions of the exam. Please be advised that the exam can only be started ONCE (closing the browser does not stop the timer). The exam starts when you click on the start button on the exam page, so only click on the button if you are willing to take the assignment. Additionally, we advise you to re-check the answers you picked before you submit the answers. Most errors that occurred during the assignments were caused by accidental inputs through a touchpad or unwanted keyboard strokes. The results of the exam will be published on January 8, 2019, 10 am (UTC).

Qualified Certificate

If you have booked the Qualified Certificate please note:

Registration period

Registration to the Qualified Certificate must occur after the first graded exercise - at the latest. Normally, this is within the second week of the course. After the deadline for the second graded exercise has passed, registration for a proctored exam is no longer possible.

Exclusion criteria

Please follow these rules. If our partner reports a breach of the rules, we are unfortunately not able to award the certificate.

Make sure:

• no one other than the registered person is in front of the camera
  
• more than one person is not in front of the camera
  
• the camera is not covered or turned off
  
• the place in front of the camera is not unoccupied (please make sure that you are not disturbed by any other people and are able to remain at your place during the entire test or exercise)
  
• there is no light source behind you (which will make your face appear too dark to be recognized by the camera)
  
• to remove any accessories that cover parts of your face (such as a hat or sunglasses). Reading glasses are allowed.
  
• not to hold any photos or pictures in front of the camera
  
• to close all other tabs except the exam you want to take
  
• to close all other applications that use a camera
  

If you haven't booked the Qualified Certificate, yet, it is too late to book it for this course. You are able to book the Qualified Certificate only for the next course.

Before we get started, we still want to offer you answers to the questions we frequently got with regard to the exam:

What is necessary in order to obtain the certificate?

You will be provided with a certificate of successful participation if you achieve at least XXX points, which is 50% of the maximum final score.

How is the final score composed?

50% of the final score is determined by the weekly assignments, the final exam makes up the other 50%. This means there will be 90 points from the assignments and 90 points from the exam, summing up to a total of 180 points being regarded as 100% of the score for this course.

What can I do to prepare for the exam?

If you followed the course intently and have done all self-tests and assignments, you will be well prepared already. In case you want to refresh some topics or have missed the assignments, you are encouraged to have a look at the quiz recap.
