- 00:08Hi there! This video shall help you to navigate through the openHPI
- 00:11platform. I'll give you some technical and helpful tips
- 00:16what you need for this MOOC.
- 00:21So let's start on the general course page where you can find
- 00:25the general course structure on the left.
- 00:28Each week you can see a row of icons right next to the general
- 00:32course structure indicating the weekly structure.
- 00:36The icons illustrate the process line of your learning
- 00:39and stand for the corresponding learning material.
- 00:43Here is a list explaining all items.
- 00:50You might also want to adjust the emails you get from the course
- 00:54according to your personal needs. Let me show you how you can
- 00:57change your email notification settings.
- 01:00You can do this by clicking on this button.
- 01:05For example, openHPI’s automatic setting is
- 01:08to send you an email notification each time
- 01:11someone posted a discussion forum. You can turn of this function here.
- 01:21Throughout the course we’ll provide you with templates
- 01:24exercises and assignments. Please consider these as optional
- 01:27and feel free to design your own ones. You should only make
- 01:31sure that the categories are the same ones to help your pears
- 01:34review your work.
- 01:39All videos have a subtitle function which you can find below
- 01:42the video frame. You can either display subtitles within the
- 01:46video by clicking on the closed captions button
- 01:50or you can read the video script by clicking on the list icon
- 01:53next to it. To switch off the subtitle function just click
- 01:57the icons again.
